Stazja McFadyen is an equal opportunity poet. She sits up straight at Arts Council and Poetry Society readings, then gets down on the sidewalk with street poets. Stazja's poetry has been published in print and electronically in the US, Canada, United Kingdom and Australia. Recent print publications include chapbooks, Where Would I Be Without You? Love Poems To My Road Atlas (PoetWarrior Press, 2000); Two Bit Love Poems Cheap; 2001: a di-verse-city odyssey (AIPF 2001); Texas Poetry Calendar 2001; One Drop: To Be The Color Black, Volume 2. A human rights poet activist, she is a contributor to Will Work For Peace: New Political Poems (Zeropanik Press, 2000), poets4peace.com, and the United Nations' Dialogue Among Civilizations Through Poetry (dialoguepoetry.org). She has featured at festivals and spoken word venues throughout the United States. Without dropping her monthly hosting duties at the First Sundays Poetry Slam in St. Petersburg, Florida, Stazja will be in SoCal in September for an eight-engagement tour, and in October will make featured guest appearances at the Bristol International Festival and London's Paddington International Poetry Festival in the UK. She is venue coordinator for Austin International Poetry Festival (aipf.org) and editor/publisher of Map of Austin Poetry (international distribution) and PoEmPath (Tampa Bay area) e-newsletters.
